The other option is to bracket, HDR, and tone map. This way you can take photos to capture the detail in the bridge (see 6-2) and to bring the color back to the sky (see 6-3). You can see how much detail is lost in the bridge in 6-3 by trying to bring it back to the sky. Some would argue that the best course of action is to get there on time, but some days it’s just not possible, which is why it’s good to have HDR in your toolbox.
